- Reflexology/Accupressure
-
Reflexology is an ancient technique that uses pressure-point massage usually on the feet, hands and/or ears to restore the flow of energy throughout the entire body. It is based on the premise that there are reflexes in our hands, feet and ears that relate to every organ and part of our body. By stimulating these reflexes with pressure and manipulation, nerve function and blood supply may be improved, which may alleviate stress and other health problems.
Eddi has taken 125 hours to receive a certificate in reflexology and has acquired continuing education of 16 classroom hours in the science-based Manzanares Method™ of Reflexology (MMR) developed by Dr. Jesus Manzanares, M.D and training in the MMR Press and Slide Technique™, research principles, protocols and MMR Foot Reflexology Mapping.
- Deep Breathing
-
Eddi first began to Mediatate in the 70’s. In addition, because she has an active yoga practice, she is experienced with Deep Breathing techniques which help to calm the client. Eddi works with clients on different breathing techniques and accommodate their individual medical circumstances in each of her sessions. When a client is able to slow the breath, real healing takes place.
- Healing Touch
-
Healing Touch is an energy therapy in which practitioners consciously use their hands in a heart-centered and intentional way to support and facilitate physical, emotional, mental and spiritual health.
Eddi is student of Healing Touch having completed Level II of five classes. She uses this non-invasive technique to clear, energize and balance her client's energy field.
- Reiki
-
Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation which promotes healing. Reiki treats the whole person including body, mind and spirit.
The word Reiki is of Japanese origin and is composed of 2 characters. "Rei" meaning "Universal" or "Spirit" and "ki" meaning "energy".;
Reiki is based upon an unseen Life Force Energy flows through each of us and is what helps us live. If a person's life force energy is low, then we are more likely to be ill or feel stress. However, if a person's life force energy is high, then we are capable of being healthy and happy.
